# Please Help Me Save My 15-Year-Old Son, Jude
### A Brave 15-Year-Old’s Fight Against Rare and Aggressive Heart Cancer
I’m Katie, Jude’s mum, and I’m asking for your help to save my son.
Jude is a loving, kind and courageous 15-year-old from Sunderland. He loves his friends, good food, going out and keeping active. He should be enjoying his teenage years and looking forward to his future.
Instead, our family is fighting for his life.
After weeks of worsening breathing problems, Jude was taken to **Sunderland Royal Hospital** and urgently transferred to **Freeman Hospital in Newcastle**, where doctors discovered a large tumour in his heart.
On **14 July 2026**, Jude underwent emergency open-heart surgery to remove the tumour. During the operation, he suffered a cardiac arrest and his heart stopped for approximately two minutes.
The tumour was later diagnosed as an **extremely rare and aggressive intimal sarcoma**, with abnormal tissue remaining near his heart.
We are now exploring every legitimate treatment option available, including specialist opinions, clinical trials and potential treatment opportunities outside the UK.

The funds raised will help with Jude’s medical treatment, specialist consultations, hospital care, travel, accommodation and ongoing recovery.
Our initial target is **£30,000**, with a Phase 1 goal of **£75,000**.
Jude is only 15. He deserves the chance to grow up, make memories with his family and friends, and live the life he deserves.
